Pareto in San Francisco builds production RL environments and data platforms for frontier labs. You will own environments end to end, from build to production, and work between research teams and engineering to ensure clear specs and reliable delivery.

This role demands shipping fast, owning the release path, and turning training signals into product improvements. Equity is part of the package, and you’ll be at the core of the platform that underpins models at Anthropic and GDM.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building production systems.
• Production Python or TypeScript expertise.
• Containerized services with Docker.
• Reproducible builds and CI/CD.
• Experience with agent-based tooling and evaluation.
• Owns systems from build to incident resolution.
• Proficient in cloud infrastructure on AWS or similar.

Responsibilities

• Own environments end to end from build to production.
• Scope training goals with researchers and translate into specs.
• Maintain production health and diagnose failures.
• Leverage platform capabilities: image builds, release notes, CI gates.
• Loop back signals into product roadmap.
