Job summary

U.S. Fleet Forces Command at Kings Bay seeks a RIGGER SUPERVISOR I in the Rigger Shop (72A) to lead rigging operations on shipboard components and heavy equipment, planning external crane lifts and internal removals.

You will direct a diverse team of riggers, oversee shop operations including timekeeping, and ensure safety, training, and compliance with DoD requirements, while coordinating with maintenance and logistics.

Qualifications

• Experience directing complex internal and external submarine rigging operations.
• Experience providing technical work direction or leadership to a team of riggers.
• Experience providing administrative management over shop operations and coordinating licenses.

Responsibilities

• Lead rigging teams during external crane lifts and internal removal/installation of large shipboard components.
• Plan, oversee and direct rigging personnel to ensure safe handling of equipment.
• Provide first-line supervision over a diverse shop workforce of riggers.
• Oversee shop operations including timekeeping and admin tasks.
• Determine training, safety, maintenance, material flow and operation sequencing.
