Job summary

Ranger-Energy-Services- is seeking a Rig Operator to manage controls and equipment on a rig, supervise crewmembers, and uphold safety standards at Williston, ND. You will work closely with customer representatives to deliver reliable service.

Responsibilities include operating the rig during up/down cycles, handling rods and tubing, performing BOP inspections, and mentoring crew on daily operations to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Seven (7) years’ experience on a well servicing rig preferred.
• 5 years of experience on a well servicing rig preferred.
• 2 years as a relief operator preferred.
• Able to perform duties of Floor Hand III and derrick hand.
• Familiar with pump and tank operations.
• Valid driver’s license or CDL, or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to perform manual labor and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of workover/completions operations.

Responsibilities

• Promote RES Stop Work Accountability.
• Promote RES safety policies and procedures.
• Perform Meet and Greet at location sites.
• Coordinate vendor and contractor groups on location.
• Operate the rig safely during rig up/down and pulling operations.
• Operate the crown and ground saver.
• Check brake systems and confirm functionality.
• Pull and lay down rods, tubing, casing, and other equipment.
• Instruct floor and derrick hands in safety equipment and rig/pumping equipment.
• Operate the power swivel and BOP inspection if needed.
• Assist with documentation and field tickets.
• Train and mentor crew members on day-to-day operations.
