Southwest Research Institute seeks a Lead/Principal Computer Scientist to lead RF systems projects for U.S. government operations.

You will guide system development for advanced communications signal processing, plan and coordinate work, and present research and test readiness reports to clients. You will write requirements, design docs and test plans, collaborate with operators and acquisition offices, and engage in demonstrations and conference participation, with a focus on RF geolocation

Qualificações

• Requires a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Must have a current/active TS/SCI with full scope polygraph.
• 10–12 years: RF Systems and geolocation experience; related theory and collection techniques in RF spectrum.
• 10–12 years: Experience writing requirements, design docs, test plans; decompose requirements for developers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to communicate with non-technical and technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency with requirements databases and project tracking tools (Atlassian products); MS Office proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical leadership of system development for processing modern communications signals in HF and VHF/UHF ranges.
• Collaborate with US Government Operations to support HFDF network activities.
• Plan and control progress of projects across technical areas to meet client objectives.
• Prepare and present research and test readiness reports to clients.
• Coordinate demonstrations with operators and acquisition offices; support patch/test baselines.
• Attend technical and vendor symposiums and conferences.
