Job summary

Skyworks is seeking a Principal Design Engineer - RF Modules in Apopka, FL to own RF module designs from concept to production release. The role supports cellular base stations, GPS, radar, satellite, and related applications, leveraging GaAs HBT or PHEMT approaches where applicable.

The ideal candidate will have MS or PhD in EE/Physics with 2+ years in RF module design, strong RF/Microwave fundamentals, and hands-on experience with RF test equipment and EM tools.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics with RF design focus; 2+ years RF module design experience.
• Solid RF/microwave module design fundamentals and circuit/EM simulations.
• Experience with impedance matching techniques and test bench tuning.
• Knowledge of RF test equipment (VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscopes).

Responsibilities

• Own RF module design from concept to production release.
• Perform circuit-level design and EM analysis for RF sub-systems.
• Support technical proposals and customer reviews.
• Collaborate with project managers to meet milestones.
• Document design work and present reviews internally and to customers.
• Characterize prototypes with test engineering and optimize for performance, yield, and cost.
