Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. in Apopka, Florida, seeks a Filter Design Engineering Manager to lead a team designing RF filters (BAW/SAW) and multi-chip modules for wireless applications. You’ll oversee new product development, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ensure on-time delivery while balancing innovation and scheduling.

The role requires advanced degrees in EE/Physics and 3–8+ years of relevant experience, with strong RF/Microwave knowledge. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• PhD, Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics with a minimum of 3–8+ years of experience.
• 3+ years direct experience in acoustic design (BAW or SAW) is preferred.
• 3+ years of design management experience in Filter design, preferable in SAW and/or BAW.
• Knowledge of RF/Microwave theory.
• Knowledge of AWR-Microwave Office and HFSS design tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of RF Filter Design Engineers for new product development and sustaining engineering.
• Provide leadership for the Design Engineering team aligning tactical and strategic goals.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing, Product, Applications, Test and Quality Engineering, PM and Research teams.
• Analyze data and specifications to assess feasibility of proposals and guide designs.
• Resolve development issues with researchers and track project progress to on-time completion.
• Prepare departmental budgets and review test data to ensure specs are met.
• Generate weekly status reports and updates for programs.
