Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. in Apopka, Florida seeks an experienced Filter Design Engineering Manager to lead RF filter designers in developing filters using BAW/SAW tech and other RF methods. You will oversee multi-function modules and collaborate across Product Marketing, Applications, and Quality teams.

The role requires 3–8+ years in EE/Physics, strong RF/MW theory knowledge, and GA tools familiarity. Competitive base pay with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• PhD, Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• 3+ years direct experience in acoustic design (BAW or SAW).
• 3+ years of design management experience in Filter design (SAW/BAW).
• Knowledge of RF/Microwave theory.
• Knowledge of AWR-Microwave Office and HFSS design tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of RF Filter Design Engineers to support new product development and sustaining engineering.
• Provide leadership and management of the Design Engineering team to meet tactical and strategic goals.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing, Applications, Test and Quality Engineering, Project Management and Research teams.
• Analyze data and specifications to determine feasibility of product proposals.
• Clarify issues with research personnel during development.
• Track progress of projects to ensure timely completion.
• Assist in preparing departmental budgets and analyze test data to meet specs.
• Generate weekly status reports and technical program updates as needed.
• Conduct yearly performance assessments and skill development plans.
• Continuously improve design flow, cycle time, and schedule.
