Job summary

Skyworks Solutions is seeking a talented intern to develop new high-frequency BAW filter modules. The selected candidate will join the BAW design team, focusing on the design, development, and delivery of next-generation BAW filter designs for Skyworks’ WiFi, Automotive, Infrastructure, and IoT customers.

The role is onsite in our Andover design center from January to June 2027, with opportunities to use simulations, topology studies, and technology assessments to deliver innovative products.

Qualifications

• University student enrolled in an MSEE/PhD program (PhD preferred) in RF & Microwave.
• Available to start January 2027.
• Onsite at Andover design center from January to June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Perform circuit feasibility simulations and topology studies.
• Evaluate stack parameters and trade-offs.
• Take measurements to validate performance; share results clearly.
• Tape out new filter designs and perform EM simulations as needed.

Skyworks Solutions is seeking a talented intern to develop new high-frequency BAW filter modules.
The selected individual will join the BAW design team, focusing on the design, development, and delivery of next-generation BAW filter designs for Skyworks’ WiFi, Automotive, Infrastructure, and IoT customers.
The successful candidate will utilize simulations, feasibility & topology studies, and technology assessments to deliver compelling products and help drive advanced technology development.
We are seeking a student to work onsite in our Andover design center from January - June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Work activities include mason level circuit feasibility simulations, topology studies, evaluation of stack parameters, and their trade-offs
• Taking measurements of finished products to validate performance
• Compiling complicated results and sharing with the team in a clean, concise, well-organized format or design review
• Tape out new filter design
• EM simulations as necessary

Required Experience and Skills

• University student, currently enrolled in an MSEE/PhD Program (PhD Preferred) in the field of RF & Microwaves and/or acoustics (BAW preferred, but will consider other similar acoustic fields)
• Must be able and available to work starting January 2027
• Periodic online meetings with our international team may be required

Desired Experience and Skills

• Strong understanding of RF and Microwaves
• Strong understanding of S-Parameters
• Knowledge of acoustic resonators physics is a plus
• Understanding of ladder filter topology and design techniques

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
