Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in Uniontown, OH seeks a capable Cashier/Stocker to support store operations. In the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant, you may lead the team, oversee planogram implementation, and ensure excellent customer service while protecting assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, operating the register, processing payments, greeting customers, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months supervisory experience (or related training) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to the prescribed process for the store.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock merchandise and build merchandise displays; rotate and face stock.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Order zones and drop shipment categories as directed by the Store Manager.
• Maintain plan‑gram implementation and maintenance.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Keep store clean: dust, mop, restock, sanitize restrooms and stockroom.
• Greet customers entering the store and assist at checkout.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise, process payments and make change.
• Set up sidewalk displays and maintain a clean front end of the store.
• Ensure a safe and secure working and shopping environment.
