Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in Uniontown, PA is seeking a Cashier/Stocker who may lead in the absence of Store Management. You will assist in plan-o-gram maintenance, stock and display setup, provide exemplary customer service, and help maximize store profitability while protecting assets.

You will unload trucks, stock and rotate merchandise, operate the cash register, and help maintain a safe, clean store environment. Prior supervisory exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures, cashier accountability and deposit control.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise, rotate and face items, and build displays.
• Operate cash register and process payments, bag merchandise and give change.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of front end, stockroom and restroom.
• Greet customers and assist in locating merchandise.
• Open/close store under direction of Area Manager and maintain cashier accountability.
