POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Consultant is knowledgeable in all areas of the Store’s business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping, and consistently delivers a positive customer experience to all customers. The Lead Consultant’s responsibilities include taking customer orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing information, recommending FedEx Office products and services, producing complex orders, operating advanced equipment, and managing production processes. They utilize consultative skills to anticipate needs, suggest solutions, and may lead and train team members, including resolving escalated customer issues under leadership guidance.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide friendly, expert service through consultative behaviors
  • Manage production flow to ensure quality and timeliness
  • Handle customer orders, pricing, and product recommendations
  • Lead digital imaging and large job management
  • Set up complex orders, multitask effectively
  • Maintain quality during and after production
  • Ensure effective communication among shifts
  • Coordinate pick-up and delivery of orders
  • Provide leadership and training to team members
  • Operate POS systems and handle financial transactions
  • Assist with financial reporting and store functions
  • Follow operational procedures and policies
  • Coordinate shipping services, advise customers on shipping options, and maintain inventory
  • Perform other duties as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of specialized experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Meet all employment qualifications at hiring or transfer as per policy

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Stand for entire shift, lift up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities
  • Communicate effectively and work under pressure
  • Maintain focus and work with minimal supervision
  • Adhere to work schedule and attendance requirements
