Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in the United States is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to lead in the absence of store management, provide excellent customer service, maintain plan-o-grams, and help maximize profitability and safety.

Duties include unloading and stocking, operating registers, assisting customers, maintaining a clean store, and following SOPs. A high school diploma with supervisory exposure is preferred; strong math and cash handling skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with supervisory experience preferred.
• Six months of supervisory experience or related training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to the prescribed process for the store.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock merchandise and rotate shelves; build displays.
• Restock returned merchandise.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; operate register and bag merchandise.
• Greet customers entering the store and provide superior service.
• Open/close the store under direction from Area Manager.
