Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a dedicated Cashier/Stocker to support store operations and lead in the absence of store management. You will help maintain plan-o-grams, assist customers, and ensure accurate cash handling while promoting a safe and clean shopping environment.

Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, stocking shelves, operating registers, and supporting teamwork to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Six months of supervisory experience (or related training) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks following store procedures.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock, rotate, and face merchandise; build displays.
• Restock returned merchandise and manage shortages.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Greet customers and assist with locating merchandise.
• Operate cash registers, process payments, and bag items.
• Maintain cleanliness and store appearance; ensure safe environment.
• Support in-store security and cash-control procedures.
• Open/close procedures under area manager guidance.
