Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a hardworking Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of the Store Manager. You will manage plan-o-grams, assist customers, and help maximize profitability and teamwork while protecting assets.

The role includes unloading trucks, stocking, merchandising, and operating cash registers to complete transactions accurately. You will help maintain a clean, safe store environment and provide exemplary customer service.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Ability to operate IBM cash registers.
• Knowledge of cash, facilities and safety policies.
• Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Understand plan-o-gram and merch presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to the store's process.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock, rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock returned/recovered items.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety.
