Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager. The role includes stocking, merchandising, customer service, and basic cashier responsibilities to maximize profitability and minimize losses.

The candidate will unload trucks, stock shelves, maintain displays, and ensure a clean, safe store environment while delivering exemplary customer service. Open to those with supervisory exposure or related training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to the prescribed process for the store.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes following company processes.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves and build displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Order zones and drop shipment categories following prescribed ordering practices.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; operate cash register and process payments.
• Greet customers entering the store and provide service leadership.
• Authorize refunds and overrides in absence of store management.
