Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore is seeking a Lead Restoration Technician / Crew Chief in Peoria, AZ to oversee field mitigation projects and lead restoration teams in accordance with IICRC S500/S700 standards.

You will supervise water damage and fire/restoration workflows, perform moisture inspections, coordinate with project management, and ensure quality and compliance while mentoring technicians and communicating with customers and adjusters.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in restoration, mitigation, or disaster recovery.
• Demonstrated leadership or crew lead experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
• On-call rotation availability.

Responsibilities

• Lead water damage restoration, fire and smoke mitigation, and related remediation projects.
• Direct daily jobsite operations for technicians and subcontractors.
• Perform moisture inspections, moisture mapping, and psychrometric calculations.
• Determine drying, cleaning, containment, and deodorization strategies in coordination with Project Management.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust drying, filtration, and air scrubber equipment.
• Oversee controlled demolition and removal per approved scope.
• Enforce PPE usage, containment, and cross-contamination control.
• Document moisture readings, equipment placement, job progress, and photos using restoration software.
• Communicate professionally with customers, adjusters, and internal teams.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate technicians at all skill levels.
