Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore in Steamboat Springs, CO seeks an experienced Lead Restoration Technician / Crew Chief to oversee field mitigation projects and lead restoration teams in accordance with IICRC S500 and S700 standards.

You will drive moisture inspections, drying strategies, and project coordination, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance while coordinating with management and customers. This role offers year-round work in essential disaster recovery services and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership or crew lead experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
• Availability for emergency response and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Lead water damage restoration, fire and smoke mitigation, and related remediation projects.
• Direct daily jobsite operations for technicians and subcontractors.
• Perform and verify moisture inspections, moisture mapping, and psychrometric calculations.
• Determine appropriate drying, cleaning, containment, and deodorization strategies in coordination with Project Management.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust drying, filtration, and air scrubber equipment.
• Oversee controlled demolition and removal per approved scope.
• Enforce PPE usage, containment, and cross-contamination control.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with IICRC standards and company SOPs.
• Document moisture readings, equipment placement, job progress, and photos using restoration software.
• Communicate professionally with customers, adjusters, and internal teams.
• Assist— perform on site carpet cleaning tasks.
