Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an experienced Restaurant Server Manager for a Grand Rapids, MI location. This full-time, on-site role leads about 25 servers in a dynamic restaurant and private events environment.

Responsibilities include recruiting, training, coaching, and developing the server team, leading pre-shift meetings, maintaining service standards, and addressing issues promptly. The schedule centers on Friday nights with two weekly closed days.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of restaurant, hospitality, or food & beverage experience.
• Strong full-service restaurant leadership experience.
• Proven ability to train and develop employees.
• Confident leader who is comfortable with accountability and difficult conversations.
• Hands-on, lead-by-example management style.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Toast POS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, coach, and develop the server team.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and drive excellent service.
• Set clear expectations and hold employees accountable.
• Recognize great performance and address issues when needed.
• Maintain high standards for service, cleanliness, and food safety.
• Handle guest concerns and support the team during busy shifts.
• Oversee cash-outs, closing procedures, and service execution.
