Water Grill in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead front-of-house operations and coach the crew. You will partner with the kitchen to ensure quality product and service while driving hospitality, standards, and profitability.

The role emphasizes leadership, scheduling, vendor coordination, and HR duties, with opportunities for growth through training in financial acumen and daily operations. Must be available nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Two years of experience as a Manager.
• College degree in a related field preferred.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good longevity in current and past positions.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to reach up to 6 feet.
• Ability to maneuver through tight aisles.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily operations from ordering, purchasing, receiving, storage, and preparation of all food products to guest relations, flow of business, and service standards.
• Oversees the flow of the business during business hours, active in all areas of the restaurant.
• Responsible for financial operations: safe, change orders, bar banks, tips, invoices, vendors, accounts.
• Responsible for all human resource related to the crew.
• Forecasting the need for product based on inventory counts.
• Writes schedules for at least one workgroup.
• Participates in developing incentive programs and driving sales.
• Ensures compliance with recipe specifications for quality.
• Coaches crewmembers and recognizes performance.
• Makes labor management decisions each shift.
• Participates in interviews and hiring of new crew.
