Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a friendly host to welcome guests, seat diners, answer phones, and ensure smooth flow in a fast-paced casino environment in Detroit, MI.

The role requires good English communication, the ability to navigate a busy venue, lift up to 50 lbs, and work well with a diverse team. Training provided; benefits start day one, with 401(k) matching and an annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Some knowledge of food service procedures.
• Ability to deal courteously and tactfully with the public.
• Ability to understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
• Requires being mobile 100% of the shift, including maneuvering through crowded areas and climbing stairs.
• May require lifting, transporting, pushing, and pulling items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Experience working in a high-volume venue.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and seat all restaurant guests.
• Answer phones and calls appropriately.
• Ensure guests in each area are being properly attended.
• Assist the guests in any way possible and direct guests to tables.
• Handle initial complaints and inform manager on duty.
• Ensure a safe environment for fellow Team Members and Guests
• Remain up to date on casino events and hours of operation.
• Utilize proper procedures and documentation for transactions.
• Attend meetings as scheduled.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.
