Job summary

SLR Consulting (Americas) is seeking a Principal Resource Geologist to join a large team delivering geological modeling, resource estimation, and NI 43-101 reporting for metals. You will lead projects and mentor junior geologists to ensure quality client outcomes.

Required: geology or geological engineering degree, 15–20+ years in minerals exploration, proficiency with Leapfrog and 3D mine-modeling tools, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geological Engineering.
• 15–20+ years of minerals exploration, operation, and resource estimation.
• Experience with 3D mine-modeling software (Leapfrog, etc.).
• Strong report writing and client-delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Development of geological models or interpretations.
• Construction of block models for resource estimates.
• Preparation of NI 43-101 Reports or international equivalents.
• Due diligence reviews for project financing and M&A.
• Project management and leadership of geologists and consulting groups.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geological findings.
• Ensure health & safety, scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC, and client satisfaction.
• Prepare proposals and contribute to business development plans.
• Liaise with clients to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Mentor junior geologists and participate in training.
