Payne & Tompkins Design-Renovations is a premier design-build remodeling firm in Greater Cleveland seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high-end residential projects. You will own the construction phase, manage client and trade-partner communications, and keep projects on schedule and within budget.

You will oversee multiple active projects, coordinate trades, read plans, and drive quality from kickoff through completion.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of construction project management or related field leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of construction from foundation through finish and field problem solving.
• Scheduling expertise to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines.
• Fearless, proactive communicator with clients, vendors and team.
• Leadership to delegate and hold others accountable.
• Proficiency with Buildertrend, MS Office, Outlook, and shared systems.
• Construction-related education is a plus; demonstrated capability matters more than a degree.
• Ability to read drawings, navigate permitting and inspections, and uphold safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the construction phase of high-end residential remodeling projects from handoff to completion.
• Visit jobsites daily to monitor progress, identify issues, and ensure quality standards.
• Manage 3–4 active projects with values around $500K to multi-million dollars.
• Maintain client and trade-partner communication as the primary contact during construction.
• Coordinate and lead field activities with assistants, trade partners, designers, and internal teams.
• Identify and solve construction challenges with practical, timely solutions.
• Maintain purchase orders, change orders, materials, inspections, and project documentation.
• Keep Buildertrend and documentation current; participate in Scrum planning and meetings.
• Develop the team through coaching and training of junior staff.
