Job summary

Vinfen is seeking a Residential Counselor to support Persons Served (PS) in a GLE/SIE residential setting in Massachusetts. You will assist in implementing PS Treatment Plans, manage medications under MAP, and promote safety and a supportive environment.

The role emphasizes recovery-oriented approaches, group facilitation, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Driving is required for this position, with a focus on quality of care and community integration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in a human service discipline preferred.
• 1 year as a residential counselor in a setting serving PS with mental health challenges preferred.
• 1–2 years of job-specific experience in human services preferred.
• Bilingual/bicultural applicants encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Orient PS new to the residence in collaboration with the Program Director.
• Collaborate with team to address PS needs and implement PS Treatment Plan interventions.
• Perform day-to-day assignments as directed by the Program Director.
• Use recovery-oriented, harm-reduction, trauma-informed approaches with PS.
• Adhere to safety, maintenance, and Human Rights policies and procedures.
• Serve as Medication Officer, Safety Officer, and Human Rights Officer as assigned.
