Job summary

Community Teamwork is hiring a Lead Residential Counselor to support women in a congregate emergency shelter in Lowell, MA. The role includes life skills coaching, enforcing safety rules, and trauma-informed, client-centered operations.

You will assist with intake, ensure program compliance, supervise staff, coordinate orientation, and manage emergencies while upholding CTI values of Equity, Integrity, and Compassion. This is a full-time evening shift position.

Qualifications

• Desire to work with low-income, culturally diverse, and at-risk families.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in basic computer software and data collection.
• Excellent crisis management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing screening, intake activities and orientation of new families.
• Aid clients with keeping compliance with program expectations.
• Monitor Residential Counselors at other locations during shift.
• Oversee security and safety by interior/exterior checks.
• Respond to On-Call Emergency situations.
• Assist individuals with day to day life skills as needed.
• Document all critical incidents and safety issues using program communication system.
• Ensure general cleanliness of kitchen and dining area.
• Complete daily housekeeping duties, including room checks each night.
• Coordinate orientation of new clients as they enter the program.
• Provide emergency crisis management to families.
