Job summary

David Weekley Homes in Orlando seeks a Residential Construction Superintendent/Builder to lead Lake County projects. You will oversee planning, scheduling, and the build of quality homes from development through final construction.

You will manage subcontractors, build strong customer relationships, coordinate homebuyer reviews, monitor costs, and ensure adherence to Weekley standards and safety codes. This role requires leadership, clear communication, and strong organization to deliver homes

Qualifications

• Prior residential production building experience is required.
• 2+ years of field management preferred.
• Experience scheduling and supervising subcontractors.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, scheduling, and quality-built homes from development through final construction.
• Build rapport with customers and maintain customer satisfaction throughout the building process.
• Coordinate and complete homebuyer reviews, meetings and phone calls.
• Motivate, manage and inspect the quality of work by subcontractors and hold them accountable for quality.
• Work closely with the sales team and other Weekley team members.
• Track and control construction costs against the budget to avoid overruns.
• Maintain a professional, clean and organized job site.
• Oversee worker productivity and compliance with building/safety codes.
• Understand contracts, plans, construction methods and regulations.
• Schedule and manage subcontractors to build homes on schedule and close on time.
• Complete homes and all customer walk-through items prior to closing.
• Prepare daily, monthly and quarterly reports.
