Job summary

Cape Associates is seeking a Project Manager to estimate, plan, coordinate, and deliver smaller residential and light commercial projects up to $200,000. You will serve as the primary client contact, manage budgets and schedules, oversee on-site crews and subcontractors, and ensure quality and safety.

Responsibilities include pre-construction through closeout, documentation, and billing updates, plus mentoring staff. A strong customer-first approach and robust communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of project management in residential remodeling or small construction.
• Able to manage multiple projects from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction means and methods.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specs.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Proficient in project management software and scheduling tools.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of assigned projects within budget and schedule.
• Oversee multiple crews and subcontractors to ensure efficiency, productivity, and safety on-site.
• Manage projects from estimating and pre-construction through construction and closeout.
• Prepare and manage budgets, schedules, proposals, change orders, permits, and correspondence.
• Generate billing, cost reports, and progress updates for senior management.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders throughout all phases.
• Pursue and secure new projects; support forecasting, staffing, and business development.
