Building Maintenance Systems Inc. (BMSI) is seeking a Residential Assistant Chief Engineer for a on-site role in Alexandria, VA.

The position involves daily building operations, tenant safety, and collaboration with the property management team to support preventive maintenance and respond to service tickets. The role requires strong mechanical skills with HVAC systems, experience in residential settings, and familiarity with Building Automation Systems.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years maintaining equipment and systems in residential buildings.
• High-level mechanical skills with HVAC equipment.
• Experience operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, installing and repairing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform building and systems inspections and modify building systems as needed.
• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance requests professionally.
• Coordinate with vendors to complete contracted work orders and meet expectations.
• Maintain records, reports and evaluations; provide maintenance recommendations.
