Building Maintenance Systems Inc. (BMSI) in the United States seeks a Residential Chief Engineer to oversee the Assistant Chief Engineer and Building Engineer.

You will operate, maintain, and repair boiler and boiler room equipment, and maintain heating, lighting, ventilation, air conditioning, water treatment, and electrical systems in a residential building. The role reports to the Property Manager and requires 10+ years of experience in residential buildings, strong engineering knowledge, and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Trades education and training helpful.
• Experience operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, installing, and repairing building equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supports daily operation of all mechanical equipment in the building.
• Maintains and repairs mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems.
• Monitors refrigeration, boiler, HVAC and water systems.
• Troubleshoots MEP systems with minimal supervision.
• Oversees service contractors and reviews plans for compliance with codes.
• Maintains maintenance logs and safety practices.
