Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Virology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or related field; CHEA-accredited
• Minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience, including leadership
• Deep knowledge of influenza immunology and viral immunology
• Proven ability to design, execute, troubleshoot complex experiments
• Experience in development/validation of advanced immunological assays (Multiplex, ELISA)
• Experience with T/B cell epitope mapping and flow cytometry
• Experience with tissue culture, PCR and molecular biology techniques
• Proven ability to manage large data sets and communicate complex data
• Excellent record keeping, organizational skills, and scientific rigor

Responsibilities

• Oversee laboratory projects from conception to execution
• Develop and validate multiplex-based assays (Luminex) and antibody-dependent cytotoxicity assays
• Manage samples and inventory using LIMS
• Develop, optimize, and validate immune response assays
• Plan experiments and manage testing of large sample sets from clinical studies
• Design and implement protocols and troubleshoot assays
• Analyze data using software scripts (R, Python) and maintain databases
• Ensure GCLP/GLP compliance and QC/QA procedures
• Prepare reports and contribute to SOPs and Master Control documents
• Maintain equipment and laboratory supplies to minimize workflow disruption
