Job summary

Genentech in Tucson is seeking a Research Associate III to lead the technical transfer of product components from Development to Manufacturing, applying advanced scientific principles to ensure manufacturability and to draft complex manufacturing documents.

You will perform pilot reagent manufacturing, coordinate cross‑functional workstreams to meet transfer timelines, assist in DOE studies, uphold GMP/GLP and Design Controls, and provide mentorship to junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science and 4 years of relevant lab/industry experience.
• Ability to draft complete validation reports and SOPs requiring final review.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and design transfer; Lean familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead pilot reagent manufacturing, including builds, testing, and documentation.
• Coordinate cross-functional workstreams to meet transfer timelines.
• Write and review validation protocols and technical reports with high accuracy.
• Assist in DOE design and process characterization planning.
• Uphold GMP/GLP and Design Control; advocate for quality-first-time.
• Provide technical mentorship and training to junior staff.
