Job summary

Parent & Family Wellness Center (PFWC) in Colorado Boulder seeks a Lead Psychiatrist specialized in reproductive and perinatal mental health to grow our program. This role blends outpatient care with clinical leadership and training of clinicians, including rendering-provider duties for pre-licensed staff.

The work is flexible: part-time (minimum 1.5 days/week) or moving toward full-time, with options for telehealth or hybrid and in-person at the Boulder office.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice medicine and prescribe in Colorado.
• DEA registration to prescribe controlled substances in Colorado.
• Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
• Specialized training and/or meaningful clinical experience in reproductive, perinatal, and/or women’s mental health.
• Comfort providing psychiatric care to pregnant and postpartum adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychotropic evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and ongoing medication-management care for adults across the reproductive lifespan, with a focus on pregnant/postpartum clients.
• Collaborate closely with clients’ therapists and other providers to support coordinated, high-quality care.
• Lead and develop PFWC’s reproductive/perinatal psychiatry program and contribute to training materials and policies.
• Render-provider responsibilities for pre-licensed clinicians, including reviewing notes with supervisors.
• Time commitment includes ~6 hours/week of organizational work; part-time clinical hours with flexible start and growth to full caseload.
