Job summary

Yingst Building Group is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our Remodeling team in South Central Pennsylvania. You will own day-to-day field execution on residential remodeling projects while staying hands-on in the field and mentoring Carpenter I/II staff.

You’ll read drawings, coordinate trade partners, maintain craftsmanship standards, and communicate progress with homeowners to ensure a superior customer experience from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Significant professional carpentry experience in residential remodeling.
• Advanced knowledge of carpentry methods, materials, sequencing, and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Experience directing other carpenters and coordinating with trade partners.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication with homeowners

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field execution of assigned residential remodeling projects.
• Perform advanced carpentry including framing, cabinetry, doors/windows, trim and finish work.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, scopes of work, specs, and schedules.
• Plan daily work and coordinate carpenters and trade partners.
• Provide coaching and hands-on training to Carpenter I/II.
• Monitor workmanship to ensure YBG quality standards.
• Communicate project progress and issues to homeowners and supervisor.
• Maintain safe, clean, organized job sites and protect client property.
