Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Remediation Engineer to serve as the technical lead for a portfolio of federal environmental projects, including CERCLA and RCRA investigations, feasibility studies, RD/RA, and long-term monitoring. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, developing technical solutions, mentoring staff, and interfacing with clients, regulators, and the public.

Travel to project sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related field with 12+ years of environmental experience.
• PE license required.
• Knowledge of CERCLA and RCRA regulations.
• Experience with remedial technologies and regulators.
• Strong communication and independent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Define project requirements and lead multidisciplinary project teams.
• Develop PMPs, QAPPs, APPs, HASPs, RI/FS reports, and related documents.
• Develop exit strategies for complex technical challenges.
• Support proposal development including technical solutions and risk mitigation.
• Mentor junior staff in remediation system design and operation.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety standards.
• Present findings to clients, regulators, stakeholders, and the public.
• Travel to project locations as needed.
