North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Counselor in Charge in Durham County to lead the Durham unit office and supervise a team of Rehabilitation Counselors and support staff. The role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating the day-to-day operations of a diverse rehabilitation program.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling or counseling from an accredited institution (or equivalent).
• Two years of experience as a rehabilitation counselor.
• Current CRCC certification or ability to obtain it.

Responsabilités

• Assist individuals on the caseload with job development, placement, and other rehabilitative services.
• Perform administrative management tasks including casework approvals and budget development.
• Provide staff development, training, and technical assistance to subordinate staff.
• Manage daily supervision and approval for Rehabilitation Counselors and staff.
