Job summary

Physicians Surgical Hospitals, L.L.C. in Amarillo, TX seeks a day-shift, full-time Physician Surgical Hospital Lead Registration Assistant to oversee registration operations and ensure patients are welcomed and accurately registered.

You will lead the front desk team, verify insurance and demographics, support scheduling, and provide training while maintaining productivity, compliance, and a patient-centered approach in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in patient registration, scheduling, or healthcare front office.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily registration activities to ensure patients are welcomed, accurately registered, and provided with excellent customer service.
• Support front desk operations, verify insurance and demographic information, assist with scheduling, and serve as a first escalation point for registration staff.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to the registration team while maintaining productivity and compliance standards.

• Physicians Surgical Hospitals includes two surgical centers - Panhandle Surgical Hospital and Quail Creek Surgical Hospital- one physical therapy center - Quail Creek Physical Therapy - and a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging center, the Advanced Imaging Center of Amarillo.

Responsibilities

• The Registration Assistant Lead is responsible for overseeing daily registration activities in the clinic to ensure patients are welcomed, accurately registered, and provided with excellent customer service.
