Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services in Halifax County seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care under physician orders and regulatory guidelines. You will supervise nursing assistants, assist with physician rounds, and ensure timely documentation and infection control.

The role requires an active NC RN license, yearly CPR certification, and commitment to ongoing staff training and patient care excellence in a geriatric setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, valid license from North Carolina Board of Nursing and be prepared to renew every other year.
• CPR certified yearly.
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
• Ability to supervise nursing assistants ensuring tasks are completed correctly and timely.
• Dependable, flexible, and able to cooperate with all nursing personnel and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care following physician orders and facility policies.
• Administer medications (oral, SQ, IM, IV) as ordered.
• Lead, guide, and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies.
• Assist physicians with rounds and patient assessments.
• Maintain infection control and standard precautions.
• Assist with admissions processes and annual physical scheduling and documentation.
