Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services in North Carolina seeks an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) to oversee nursing staff and ensure high-quality patient care during each shift.

The ideal candidate is a licensed RN with NC Board of Nursing, CPR certification, and a commitment to geriatric nursing, patient safety, and regulatory compliance; on-call duties are included.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Registered Nurse licensed by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctor orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
• CPR certified yearly.
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
• Ability to supervise nursing staff ensuring that work assignments are completed appropriately and timely.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assures the best patient care possible by supervising the Facility and by directing the nursing staff during the shift.
• Assists Director of Nursing in directing, coordinating and supervising the Nursing Services Department.
• Supervises Nursing services for Facility during shift in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act, Facility policies and procedures, and the local, state, and federal regulations.
• Supervises and assists Nurses with patients during acute episodes.
• Deals with employee problems on a timely basis and documents actions.
• Assumes on-call responsibilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
