Job summary

Universal Health Services in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead and provide patient-centered nursing care for inpatients and those undergoing procedures. The RN will assess, plan, and evaluate care while guiding the healthcare team in alignment with hospital policies and philosophy.

The role requires a Texas RN license (or compact state license), a BSN is preferred, and current BLS and ARC/AHA certifications.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in Texas, or a compact state license.
• BSN preferred and required education documented upon hire.
• BLS must be current.
• Current ARC or AHA Healthcare Provider certifications where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical or surgical conditions; provide professional nursing leadership and guidance to the health care team.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care per facility policies and standards.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and ancillary departments; address patient care concerns and participate in resolution.
• Occasional weekend/holiday/evening/night or on-call status as needed; demonstrate Service Excellence at all times.
