Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. in Clinton, NC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance teams across the plant, facilities, and utilities, ensuring reliable equipment and peak production.

You will drive preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and scheduling to minimize downtime and maximize throughput. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree with 2+ years of experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading maintenance teams or supervising staff.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Train employees on proper work methods and safety procedures.
• Develop and implement maintenance systems and schedules with Production.
• Develop KPIs and provide regular status reports to management.
• Ensure compliance with USDA regulations and maintain documentation.
