Goodwin Tucker Group is seeking a Lead Refrigeration Install & Service Technician to lead commercial refrigeration installation projects, perform service and troubleshooting, and ensure work meets high standards.

The role involves working directly with customers, project managers, and field teams, reading plans and schematics, and mentoring junior technicians while upholding safety and quality across all sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with commercial refrigeration systems.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with refrigeration installation, startup, and service.
• Ability to read electrical and refrigeration schematics.
• Understanding of refrigeration controls and electrical components.
• Ability to lead a team and work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willing to work flexible hours for project needs.
• EPA certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial refrigeration installation and replacement projects.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain systems.
• Read plans, schematics, wiring diagrams, and specs.
• Coordinate field activities and lead installation crews.
• Ensure work meets project specs and safety standards.
• Commission and start up new equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service calls.
• Maintain service records and material usage.
• Mentor apprentices and less-experienced technicians.
• Represent the company professionally on customer sites.
• Communicate with customers, PMs, dispatchers, and team members.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, tablet, and equipment.
