Job summary

Goodwin Tucker Group is seeking a Lead Refrigeration Install & Service Technician to head commercial refrigeration installation projects, perform service, and ensure work meets safety and quality standards on customer sites.

You will collaborate with customers, project managers, and other technicians, lead field crews, and mentor apprentices while delivering reliable, code-compliant solutions. EPA certification preferred.

Qualifications

Proven experience with commercial refrigeration systems.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with installation, startup, and service of refrigeration systems.
Ability to read electrical and refrigeration schematics.
Strong understanding of refrigeration controls, electrical systems, and components.
Ability to work independently while leading a team.
Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to work in commercial environments and occasional flexible hours.
EPA certification preferred or required depending on company needs.

Responsibilities

Lead commercial refrigeration installation and replacement projects.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems and equipment.
Read and interpret plans, schematics, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.
Lead installation crews and coordinate daily field activities.
Ensure installations are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
Commission and start up new refrigeration equipment and systems.
Perform preventative maintenance and service calls as needed.
Identify system issues and recommend appropriate repairs or solutions.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service on customer sites.
Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, dispatchers, and team members.
Maintain accurate service records, job documentation, and material usage.
Ensure all work complies with company safety standards and applicable codes.
Maintain company vehicle, tools, equipment, tablet, and other assigned resources.
Mentor and assist less-experienced technicians and apprentices.
Represent Goodwin Tucker Group professionally in the field.
