Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking a Refrigeration Leader to oversee hospital-wide refrigeration and HVAC repair and preventive maintenance. You will monitor complex systems, install new units, and ensure safety compliance across Parkland facilities.

The role requires five years of refrigeration installation and service experience, EPA Type I/II certification, and a Texas Class C license. Strong troubleshooting and blueprint-reading skills are essential for ensuring system uptime and

Qualifications

Thorough knowledge of refrigeration systems and electrical test equipment.
Proficient with hand and power tools and wiring installations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and manuals.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Demonstrated troubleshooting of refrigerated equipment and controls.
Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks as required.

Responsibilities

Lead Refrigeration team: schedule, train, evaluate and provide expert guidance.
Perform complex repair and preventive maintenance of refrigerators, A/C units, and related equipment.
Install new air conditioning units, chillers, and ice machines per code.
Document all maintenance work orders and ensure accurate records.
Maintain relationships with management, staff, contractors and vendors.
Stay current on refrigeration field developments and best practices.
Identify process improvements and implement improvements to satisfy Parkland goals.
