Job summary

CoolSys is seeking a skilled HVAC/R technician in Parkersburg, WV area. The role focuses on repairing and maintaining refrigeration, HVAC, and related equipment across diverse systems.

You will diagnose malfunctions, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safety standards are followed. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of commercial HVAC/refrigeration experience, holds a valid EPA certificate, and can lift up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade/technical schooling preferred.
• Valid EPA certificate required.
• 3–5 years in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical work.
• Experience with supermarkets or convenience-store refrigeration is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul HVAC/refrigeration equipment including compressors and water pumps.
• Test systems for malfunction and efficiency using electrical/mechanical methods.
• Maintain records of work history and service activities.
• Perform preventative maintenance and startups of new installations.
• Follow PPE and safety procedures in all tasks.
