Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a Lead-HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic to ensure safe supervision, monitoring, operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment across campus.

You will lead preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and document work, while coordinating with other departments to support mission-critical operations. The role requires 6+ years of hospital HVAC experience, EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certification, and licenses.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in A/C Refrigeration in hospital or related environment.
• Experience applying principles of mechanical equipment, facility and service operations.
• Strong experience with CMMS tools and building automation systems (BAS).
• Proficient with CMMS software and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert service and oversee safe supervision, monitoring, operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Lead preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and testing campus-wide; maintain records of all systems.
• Review designs and oversee proposed modifications, additions and expansions.
• Act as liaison with department teams within the institution.
• Ensure compliance with facility management procedures and safety standards.
• Train and guide team members and address escalations.
