Job summary

Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Technician to supervise on-shift shop operations and perform hands-on repairs on diesel and refrigeration systems. The role emphasizes leadership, quality, and timely service to keep fleets running safely.

You will oversee scheduling, mentor technicians, and interact with customers across shifts while diagnosing units with OEM software. A strong electrical/diagnostic background and a toolbox are required, with opportunities for night

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience as a technician or supervisor in fleet or refrigeration services.
• Must possess a toolbox and required tools.
• Strong electrical and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day shop operations on shift and perform hands-on repairs.
• Manage shift schedules and workload distribution.
• Supervise technicians and ensure quality standards.
• Communicate with customers and team across shifts.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration units using OEM software.
• Perform PM services, DOT inspections, brake repairs, and general truck/trailer maintenance.
• Handle road service calls and APU repairs.
• Enforce safety procedures and company policies.
