Job summary

Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. in Gordonsville, VA is seeking a Lead Technician to drive daily shop operations and mentor the service team. You will lead on-shift activities, perform hands-on repairs, and ensure quality standards across refrigeration systems for fleets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience as technician or supervisor in fleet or refrigeration services.
• Must possess a toolbox and required tools.
• Strong electrical and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage shift schedules and workload distribution.
• Supervise technicians and ensure quality standards.
• Communicate with customers and team members across shifts.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration units using OEM software.
• Perform PM services, DOT inspections, brake repairs, and general truck/trailer maintenance.
• Handle road service calls and APU repairs.
• Ensure safety procedures and company policies are followed.
