Job summary

Target is seeking a Lead Refrigeration Engineer to drive the strategy, design, and lifecycle performance of refrigeration systems across our retail stores. You will set enterprise standards, lead cross-functional teams, and mentor engineers to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable cold-chain solutions.

The ideal candidate has a ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree, 7+ years in refrigeration design and field coordination, strong CAD/BIM experience (Revit), and a demonstrated ability to

Qualifications

Four-year ABET-accredited degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
7+ years in refrigeration design/consulting for commercial refrigeration systems.
Experience developing refrigeration standards, specs, and design criteria.

Responsibilities

Lead refrigeration design strategy and enterprise standards across Target stores.
Mentor engineers and guide cross-functional teams in refrigeration projects.
Coordinate with internal partners and external consultants to ensure safe, reliable, and energy-efficient systems.
Evaluate emerging refrigeration technologies and drive continuous improvement.
