Job summary

HF Sinclair seeks an Inspector with at least five years of related experience to lead inspection activities, coordinate contracted inspections and NDE services, and ensure the integrity of refinery equipment. The role involves working with multiple departments, prioritizing corrective actions, and mentoring junior staff.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required, with API/Infrared/NDE certifications preferred depending on location. Strong data management and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Five years minimum inspection experience in a related industry.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
• Certifications: API 510/653/570 or AWS CWI or equivalent infrared/NDE training may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Lead or coordinate the work of Inspectors and contract labor.
• Inspect equipment including tanks, vessels, piping, boilers, and relief valves.
• Issue inspection memos and deficiency reports; prioritize corrective actions.
• Interpret inspection results, analyze trends, and plan actions.
• Maintain detailed databases for equipment and corrosion rates.
• Oversee contracted inspections and hydrostatic testing.
• Coordinate turnaround support and field projects as needed.
• Provide guidance to less experienced Inspectors.
