HF Sinclair Puget Sound Refining in Anacortes, WA seeks a Mechanical Inspector to lead and perform advanced inspection duties in the Mechanical Department under minimal supervision. The role may direct others and interface with multiple groups within the refinery to uphold safety and reliability.

Primary tasks include approving pump repair plans, assisting with equipment repairs, providing technical direction to machinists, and contributing to maintenance planning, audits, and HSSE initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years experience as machinist millwright in a refinery or chemical plant.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certifications in API-510, API-570, API-653, AWS CWI and ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level II in RT, UT, MT, PT may be required depending on location.
• Ability to lead and direct the work of other associates; strong communication and math skills.

Responsabilités

• Approve pump repair plans and variances to standards.
• Provide technical direction to machinist millwrights.
• Assist maintenance in troubleshooting equipment prior to planning repairs per repair standards.
• Lead operations in troubleshooting rotating equipment and correct practices.
• Enter repair documentation into SAP and E-DOC; coordinate with shop planner and engineer.
