Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Receiving Supervisor to direct daily warehouse operations for our retail stores, supervising warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators while coordinating freight schedules to meet customer and inventory needs.

The role emphasizes safe, efficient warehouse processes, staff development, and cross-department collaboration to ensure accurate receiving, shipping, and inventory control.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience required (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment)
• Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills
• Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the company
• Effective communication skills (oral and written)
• Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations
• Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlines
• Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons

Responsibilities

• Schedule warehouse personnel daily to ensure proper manning for shipping and receiving
• Direct day-to-day activities of the warehouse (shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control)
• Maintain warehouse safety programs and equipment maintenance coordination
• Ensure associates are trained and follow SOPs; manage progressive discipline
• Coordinate with other departments to optimize warehouse operations
• Complete activity reports for management and monitor paperwork flow
• Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports
• Oversee Storage Buy transactions and product staging
• Ensure proper inventory rotation and space optimization
